Play it again Sam!

Was sent a particularly interesting article today about nostalgia, mostly pertaining to music and how often we played it during different emotional periods in our lives. I don’t know about the rest of you, but a song on repeat for a while doesn’t bug me. Or a record on repeat. If it’s a good one, I could listen to one side all day. I enjoy it actually, and it allows me to listen without full focus. But it never really occurred to me that perhaps I was bombarding my brain with sense-memories I wasn’t really aware of. 

So I thought I’d do some digging. Here are some of the songs that, upon listening, immediately brought back memories, or warm fuzzies, or ‘hair on end’ shivers. 

Go figure. Turns out there’s something to it after all.

Also, this doesn’t even begin to break the surface of my rock records. Or my records in general… For the sake of all your eyeballs, I left those out. Perhaps another list, for another day.
